After the call is complete the speakerphone is the primary or active audio source. When you tapped the speakerphone the device switches the audio source from the Mic-Lock to the speakerphone-again it follows your commands. Rather than unplugging the Mic-Lock, you tap on the speakerphone icon and take the call. An example of this is when you have the Mic-Lock plugged in to your phone and a voice call comes in. This is true until you command or tell the computer to switch to another audio source. Plugging in the Mic-Lock is the “ON” button and unplugging it is the “OFF” button. Much like on your TV’s remote video source, only one audio source can be active on a device at any one time. To a device plugging in a Mic-Lock is the same as if you tap on the speakerphone icon or clicked to launch an app. When you physically plug in something the device follows what you are telling it to do and to now use what you just inserted. Plugging in a Mic-Lock is a system command to the phone or computer. The phone or computer looks for this electrical signal before handing over audio control. The signal it sends is what a “live” microphone would send if it were recording in a silent environment or room. The way Mic-Lock works is electrically the same as any audio headset would appear to a phone, computer or tablet. No software is needed and it will work with any operating system.
